BISHOPS' MESSAGE TO PM (New)
Archbishop Peter Smith, Vice-President of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales: "On behalf of the Catholic Community of England and Wales I would like to pledge an assurance of our prayers for the Prime Minister and the new coalition government as they begin their work in the service of the common good of our society. "In wishing the new government well, it is good for us all to recall that many of the deep-seated problems of our society can only be addressed through a renewal of shared values. Change for the better cannot be left to politicians alone to bring about. It needs all of us."
MASS TIME CHANGE (This week only) 8.00 a.m. Thursday
WANTED DEPUTY HEAD FOR HOLY SOULS
It seems like only yesterday that Mrs. Vivien Baker came to Holy Souls as Deputy Head. Now she is moving on to the Headship at St. Charles Rishton. We all thank her for the work often voluntary she has put in at Holy Souls School and the Parish. We wish her well at St. Charles where my good friend Fr. Martin Dowd is Parish Priest.
This Thursday the Governors will spend the day choosing the new Deputy Head Teacher. There are two candidates both are committed Catholics and are involved in the life of their Parish. Please pray that all will go well on Thursday and the quality of Catholic Education at Holy Souls will continue to grow under the direction of Mrs. Davies, the Headteacher.

Theme This same Jesus will come back in the same way as you have seen him go there.
When Jesus ascended to Heaven, he united himself again in the love of the Holy Spirit with His Father. Now Jesus loves his Father with human love and His Father loves him as a human being. What a difference this makes to us. God now loves us with human love. The Father and the Son share their love, the Holy Spirit, with us in a human way. This means that Jesus finally closes the gap, caused by sin, between God and us.
